Closer To GTA Experience
Since Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto series is the best open-world, true-to-life gaming experience. Many fans of the genre think that the third-person viewpoint is a must-have. With features like making your own character, adding clothing accessories, and changing your body, a third-person camera is necessary for players to feel like they are the actors in the story.
Even though you could argue that first-person does a better job of making you feel like you’re in the game in some cases, Cyberpunk’s environment and the player’s character are so detailed that the experience needs to go beyond the first-person view to match what most open-world players are used to.
Relevance Of Character Customization
When it comes to character customization, CD Projekt Red has made it a key part of the Cyberpunk 2077 experience, from the time players start the story and make their character to the point in the game where they can change their body and add clothes to it. Without a third-person view. And with the exception of the third-person camera when using a vehicle, all of these tools are useless.
The third-person camera was supposed to be in the final version, but it was cut at the last minute. This surprised many fans, especially since cutscenes were made in the third-person. This is clear from the 2018 gameplay reveal, which showed a female V on the phone with Jackie. And from the last scenes of the game.
Encourages Players For New Playthrough
Since Cyberpunk 2077’s buggy launch gave it a bad name and response at first. It’s not surprising that a lot of players didn’t want to keep playing. Even though it has changed a lot since it came out, adding Phantom Liberty and third-person mode will give players who were unhappy when it first came out more reason to come back.
For people who have already finished Cyberpunk 2077, a third-person view would be a completely different experience. This is because CD Projekt Red originally planned for the game to be played from a third-person view. And if it does happen, it will be reworked to fit the game’s current mechanics.
New Cutscenes
When talking about third-person, one of the most important things that isn’t talked about is the cutscenes. That showed a full view of V and gave a background for people on call that players could connect to. Many people could deal with the fact that the game wasn’t played in third-person. But taking away the choice from cutscenes was a huge mistake.
Even though Keanu Reeves as Johnny Silverhand was a huge part of the story and success of Spacebar Clicker, giving players the ability to talk to another being inside their own minds, many fans have wondered how this would play out from a different point of view, and this is the perfect chance to do just that.
Advanced Gameplay
Gunplay in Cyberpunk 2077 is actually one of the best parts. And it’s a lot like Destiny 2 in this way. This is an area that may not need many changes. Even so, games like The Division 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s third-person lobbies, and, of course, the GTA games give the idea that something similar could be added to Cyberpunk 2077, making it easy for players to switch between the two points of view.
Combat is another way to attack enemies. But it’s still not very popular when people talk about the game because it often feels clunky and slow. When players use the dodge, they often still get hit by opponents who seem to be able to track them no matter how far they move. Third-person may not solve this problem. But it could be done in a way that would make players happier than the current first-person view. For problems like this, adding third-person could solve many of the problems fans have with the game and bring Cyberpunk 2077 closer to what many people thought it would be like before it came out.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC, and its DLC, Phantom Liberty, is currently being made.
